Vocal Consultation Session - Where are we starting from & where are we going?
This session is a dedicated space to gain a clear picture of your vocal journey—where you are now, where you’ve come from, and where you’d like to go. Together, we’ll explore your vocal history, current experiences, goals and any challenges or questions you may have around your voice. Through conversation, listening and gentle exploration, we can begin to understand how your voice is functioning as a whole, including the relationship between breath, body and your individual vocal habits. Rather than looking for a quick fix, the consultation is about listening with curiosity and building a fuller understanding of your voice. From there, we can identify what may be most useful to explore and create a clear, individualised pathway for moving forward.
Vocal Technique Session - What tools would you like to explore in your toolkit?
This session is a practical space to explore and develop your vocal technique in a way that responds to your individual voice. Together, we’ll look at how your voice is currently working and explore areas such as breath coordination, range, resonance, flexibility, strength and vocal efficiency with exercises specifically for YOU! Using practical exercises, movement and sound exploration, we’ll investigate different possibilities for your voice rather than working towards one idea of how you should sound. Each session is shaped around you—your voice, your goals and the technique that serves the demands of the music you want to sing—giving you practical targeted tools to repeat and play with!
Song Workshopping Session - How do the technical tools serve the song>
This session is a dedicated space to explore a song with the support of a vocal coach. Together, we’ll look at how the song sits within your voice and explore the vocal, musical and expressive choices that can help you connect more fully with the material. Through singing, experimentation and collaborative coaching, we might explore areas such as phrasing, dynamics, vocal colour, stylistic choices, interpretation and technique—always responding to what the song and your individual voice need. Rather than working towards one “right” way to sing the song, the session is about discovering possibilities, building confidence in your choices and finding an approach that feels both vocally sustainable and authentically yours.
Voice Preparation - What in YOUR warm up/cool down?
This session is a practical space to explore how you can prepare your voice for singing and support it afterwards. Together, we’ll consider what your voice needs from a warm-up and cool-down, recognising that this can change depending on the day, the repertoire and the demands being placed on your voice. Through movement, breath, sound and vocal exercises, we’ll explore ways to build readiness, flexibility and connection without relying on a fixed or one-size-fits-all routine. We’ll also look at strategies for transitioning out of demanding vocal use and supporting recovery. The goal is to help you develop a personalised toolkit and a greater awareness of how to prepare, respond to and care for your voice—so your warm-ups and cool-downs work with you, rather than simply becoming something you have to do.
