Kristin has been a professional singer since 2002. Her career so far has encompassed extensive touring and promotional work (UK and globally) with a range of artists including Sting, Clean Bandit, Rick Astley and Tom Odell. She works as both a lead and background vocalist across a multitude of genres. Career highlights include performing on main stages at major festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella and venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks and Wembley Stadium. Her live TV and radio experience, includes numerous appearances on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge and TV shows in the UK (This Morning, Strictly Come Dancing, X-Factor) and in the US (The Today Show, Seth Meyer). More recently, she was the vocal arranger and one of the house band vocalists for Season 2 of Fox TV’s “Name That Tune”. Her studio session work includes soundalikes, sample reproduction, and vocals for ads/ jingles and game music. She also records song demos for writers and producers and has songwriting credits for artists such as Newton Faulkner. Kristin also performs regularly at corporate and private events with ALR Music, one of the UK’s leading music agencies. Since 2020, Kristin has been a Vocal Tutor at the Institute of Contemporary Music in London, where she teaches on both Undergraduate and Postgraduate performance programmes. She is uniquely placed to offer valuable 'real-world’ insight in her vocal coaching, that draws on her extensive career experience as a working singer, in combination with her technical knowledge of the voice and vocal anatomy. This encompasses aspects such as vocal health, developing and maintaining vocal stamina for the rigours of touring, working in an ensemble and leading a band, stagecraft, stylistic awareness and versatility, background vocal work (blending with other singers and developing harmony singing skills), adapting the voice to different live environments and studio recording skills, to name but a few.
